Stamp Out Hunger is The National Association of Letter Carriers' food drive, held on the second Saturday in May each year. It is the largest one-day food drive event in the nation. We need your help in order to make this food drive successful! Harvesters must fold 90,000 grocery bags donated for letter carriers to distribute along their routes!
By folding each and every bag, volunteers help increase the food donations from this drive by 35%. We reserve the bags in sets of 1,000 and fold them throughout March and April. Bags must be returned to Harvesters by Monday, April 29th.
Volunteers can earn 10 hours of service for every 1,000 bags they fold correctly. Contact us now to reserve your bags and sign up!

Description
We are a regional food bank serving a 26-county area of northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. Harvesters provides food and related household products to more than 620 not-for-profit agencies including emergency food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes and others. We also offer education programs to increase community awareness of hunger and teach about good nutrition.
Harvesters' main facility is located in Kansas City, Missouri at 3801 Topping Ave. Harvesters also operates a second facility in Topeka, Kansas at 215 E. Quincy St.
Harvesters is a certified member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks. In 2011 Harvesters was Feeding America’s Food Bank of the Year. We are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Harvesters also is one of five regional disaster relief staging sites for Feeding America. We continually store a supply of food, water and cleaning supplies that can be sent to a disaster site on short notice.
