ORGANIZATION: Inferno Theatre

Inferno Theatre

Inferno Theatre is an artist-centric physical ensemble theater company in Berkeley. The company will be performing five shows this year, as part of its 2018 Season. Two of the five shows have been confirmed to take place at Inferno's home theatre in Berkeley, which is located at the South Berkeley Community Church (1802 Fairview St, Berkeley, CA). The location of the remaining three shows will be announced soon.

We are looking for five volunteers who will assist as Theater House Managers. The role of a house manager is to assist the Inferno Team during the show performances by greeting, selling tickets, and ushering patrons into the theater. The shows will be held in the evenings, typically on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. Each show runs for 3 weeks.

A schedule of the performances will be provided to you in advanced. We are looking for individuals who can assist during these shows. We are seeking individuals who want to make an impact and who are dependable and responsible.

Mission Statement

The universe is expanding. We are only held together by the force of gravity. Submerged in the world we live in, we seek the links between cultures and explore the roots of human relationships in space and time. We nurture, renew, and reinvent the theatre art form through discipline, intensive training, research, and a committed ensemble practice. For us theatre is an all-creative state of existence grounded in a resonant body of works that are physical, literary, and spectacular. Placed in an urban setting we strive to create a better future for us, the people, on a greener and richer planet.
