Mission Statement
Our mission is to connect people to nature and inspire everyone protect the native habitat for both people and wildlife. Weed Warrior, Nature Stewardship projects restore a healthy balance to the environment by removing invasive weeds and planting native species plants. We work in public parks, open spaces, and community gardens. We offer workshops on various environmental topics from Climate Change to Sustainable Gardening, and offer craft activities with our programs for kids.
Description
Weed Warriors work with cities and communities to connect people to nature, and host habitat restoration events that reduce the negative impact of invasive, noxious weeds in public places, like parks, trails, and open spaces. We produce projects, workshops, events, and advocate for communities. The Nature Stewards program offers education about invasive weeds, native plants, sustainable gardening, wildlife habitats, and climate change mitigation.
