JOIN OUR DINE OUT FOR THE CURE WORKING GROUP
Do you like to dine out? Are you eager to get involved with a new initiative with lots of room for creativity and growth? Are you eager to make your mark and support us in a way you haven't had the opportunity to do so in the past? Do you have some restaurant/cafe/bakery contacts you could approach to support us?
Please join our brand new Dine Out Working Group!
Komen OC's inaugural Dine Out for the Cure Day was held on October 12, 2017. A number of local restaurants came on board to help raise awareness and to donate a percentage of their revenue on Dine Out Day to Komen OC.
This was the starting point and from here we want to grow this project and SUPERSIZE IT!
Dine Out unites local restaurants with Komen supporters during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
We want to bring more businesses on board and help them attract more customers to make their Dine Out Day a super success!
Dine Out Working Group members will meet at Komen OC monthly after hours to work on this initiative starting in March 2018. We will establish the day and time that will be convenient for group members.

Description
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Race for the Cure, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world. The Komen Orange County Affiliate has been making strides in our community since 1991. The Affiliate is proud to have raised nearly $15 million on behalf of the Komen promise.
