EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, with Donald Trump's blessing, wants to roll back the Clean Power Plan - lifesaving standards that combat climate change. One of only four hearings nationwide will be held in San Francisco on February 28. The Sierra Club, along with numerous other groups, is holding a press conference and rally outside the hearing. We need your help to pass out signs and other materials, greet and guide the crowd, and perform other tasks to help the event run well.
The CleanPowerPlan will help curb pollution and prevent 90,000 asthma attacks, 300,000 missed work and school days, and 3,600 premature deaths annually by 2030. All these impacts disproportionately affect communities of color and low-income families. This means that any attempt to dismantle the CleanPowerPlan is an added assault on the most vulnerable populations among us.
