Looking for volunteer opportunities for school or work?
Want to give back or get involved with the community?
Love being outside and want a reason to visit a state park?
Look no further!

Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park is a 1100+ acre park of upland forest, lakes, and an ornamental garden.
The park is always in need of exotic invasive plant removal, trail maintenance, and gardening.
Volunteers play a huge role in maintaining the parks beauty and the park is always looking for more volunteers.

Please join us the first Saturday of ever month starting April 7, 2018 through December 1, 2018 to participate in a monthly work day where you will have the opportunity to work in various capacities. Whether it's pruning azaleas in the garden, mechanically removing coral ardisia from the forest understory, or helping keep the trail systems clean and safe, we have something for you!

Things you will need to have a successful work day at our park:

  • Water bottle
  • Work gloves
  • Hat
  • Bug spray
  • Long pants
  • Long sleeve
  • Close toed shoes
We are looking forward to working with you!

If you have any questions about the monthly work days, call the park at 850-487-4556 or email Kelli Greene at kelli.greene@dep.state.fl.us.
