ORGANIZATION: Compassus Hospice

  • 9 people are interested

Our hospice volunteers have many reasons for giving their time. Some are looking for a fulfilling way to develop and grow personally and others have been helped by our agency and want to give back. Still others simply want to help improve the lives of members of their community. Whatever the reason, as a hospice volunteer, you will gain great personal satisfaction from knowing that you have made a difference in another person’s life.

Hospice allows volunteers to choose their needs, and gives them the opportunity to use their training and talents to enrich the lives of our patients and their families in many different ways. You will receive specialized training and support under the direction of the Volunteer Manager. A convenient orientation is provided to all volunteers.

Some of the few ways to help would be: Friendly visits, Writing letters, Reading to patients, and helping with end of life projects. Most volunteers give one-two hours per week, but you can give as much or as little as you can. We place you with a patient that is close to your home and works with your schedule.
