Event Description:
Our goal is to transform alleys and driveways from asphalt storm water conveyances that transport pollution to our most vulnerable streams into areas that percolate and clean polluted storm water, thereby improving water quality throughout the city.
We need volunteers to make this a reality! Please sign up today to help us install rain gardens throughout East Nashville.
When: March 9th, 8:30am - 12:00pm

Volunteers must wear close-toed shoes (Crocs do not count)! Please wear long, durable pants if you have them, and wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty!
We will provide all tools, gloves, and water. Volunteers will be required to sign a liability and photo release waiver upon arrival. If you are under the age of 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian sign your waiver.

Description
Since 1997, the Cumberland River Compact and its members have worked to improve the quality of water in the Cumberland River Basin, and in doing so, to improve the quality of life of our basin’s communities. There’s still much to be done, and we intend to do it!
We believe that water quality and a healthy environment are fundamental to sustainable, strong local economies. Since our founding, we’ve worked cooperatively with local, state and federal agencies, farmers, businesses, technical professionals, local o cials, neighborhood groups, and other watershed stakeholders who share this belief. All to ensure clean and abundant water resources that support, life, recreation, and economic well-being throughout the Basin.
