You need no experience or training to volunteer. As a classroom coach, you'll support and encourage students as they work on their projects.

Program 3752RWG-H
Date: Monday, March 19th
Time: 9:30 - 11:00 AM
Volunteer Role: Research Coach
About the workshop: Second-graders read Bottle Cap Boys by Rita Williams-Garcia, about two African-American brothers who make tap shoes with bottle caps to dance in the streets. With the help of coaches, students will investigate the rich history of New Orleans and its cultural contributions to prepare them to write essays on the topic that also describe their experience creating art to illustrate their work.
