Fundraiser needed for a national patient nonprofit
ORGANIZATION: American Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Society
Please visit the new page to apply.
The American Myalgic Encephalomelitis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Society (AMMES) is seeking someone to help raise funds to expand our operations. AMMES is the only national nonprofit that directly serves the practical needs of patients - how to find a doctor, which treatments are effective, how to apply for disability, and so forth. We are a new organization with low operating expenses, but we are looking to expand. We need $4,000 to set up CiviCRM, a powerful program that will enable us to send thousands of personalized emails and newsletters, to physicians, members, and donors. We also need money to set up an emergency fund for patients who are disabled and unable to met their medical expenses, pay for health aides, rent, and other necessities. (Many patients with ME/CFS lose their jobs, and quite a few are living in cars.)
Please contact us if you have experience fundraising or in writing grants for nonprofits.
Knowing someone with the disease, a friend or family member, is a definite plus!
