Donate an hour or two of your time and gain a lifetime of fulfillment.
Sit at the bedside of a patient in the final stages of life's ending transition. The Term "No One Dies Alone" is one that we hold sacred at Transitions Hospice.

There comes a time when there is nothing else that can clinically be done to help extend the life of a loved one..a time when friends and family may attempt to be at their loved ones side 24/7... the time that a sweet loving voice or a nice nights sleep would mean the world to a family of a Hospice patient...
That's when our Vigil Volunteers jump into action.

Transitions Hospice believes that no one should die alone. Vigil volunteers provide family support and a calm presence at the bedside of hospice patients in their final days. (Orientation and ongoing training is provided.)

Vigil Volunteers are an important part of the team! It is very important that Vigil Volunteers are reliable and understand the dying process. This process is imminent and it takes thee utmost compassion to see a family through this time.
