Mission Statement

To provide ethical, efficient, and responsive local government, in support of community aspirations, guided by policies of the City Council, and implemented by professional staff, to ensure that Roseville remains strong, vibrant, and sustainable for current and future generations.

Description

Roseville is a vibrant community with much to offer our residents and local businesses. Located between two major highways (35W & Hwy 36), Roseville borders both Minneapolis and St. Paul. It is a short commute to either downtown, making the city attractive to business and residential development. Roseville incorporated in 1948 and grew dramatically during the 1950s and '60s. Today Roseville maintains a stable population of 33,600, and draws another 55,000 workers to the city each day. Roseville is a mixed-land use community with a strong residential base, ample open space, and strong retail. Roseville has a growing biosciences presence, with several startup companies located here. Roseville is known for its warm hospitality. Roseville’s award winning park system includes 30 parks, pathways and trails, golf course, nature center and arboretum. The Minnesota OVAL provides recreational opportunities including speedskating competitions, bandy, hockey, and recreational skating. In the summer the OVAL becomes a skate park for bikers and skateboard enthusiasts. Roseville is served by two outstanding public school districts. Northwestern University is located here, and we are minutes away from the University of Minnesota, Bethel College, Hamline University and William Mitchell College of Law. We look forward to hearing from you.
