The San Diego Police Foundation is looking for an Intern who is proactive, highly organized, cooperative and personable to assist the Event Manager on a specific event. The Intern will work directly with the Event Manager on all of the details related to a couple of signature events. All of the work is expected to be during the week with the exception of a gala event which is hosted on a Saturday evening.

Duties include but are not limited to:

-Assisting the Event Manager in recruiting and managing volunteers
-Assisting in the acquisition of auction items
-Assisting in the various tasks related to event
-Assisting in the management of online bidding software


We are seeking an intern with a minimum 4-6 month commitment. Must be willing to learn, preferably with a desire to further their career in non-profit/event planning.

Due to drastic budget cuts, our police force needs more help then ever. We, at the San Diego Police Foundation, raise funds at our events to buy protective vests, upgrade technology and software, purchase new Police Service Dogs. And make it possible for our police force to be better trained, better equipped and better supported than the criminals who threaten our communities.
