Kindred Hospice is seeking veterans to visit hospice patients who are veterans. Visit a veteran weekly or twice a month to share stories and bring comfort and support.
In addition, Kindred hospice volunteers who are veterans are invited to participate in the annual Veterans' Day recognition of our patients who have served in the military, as well as special pinning ceremonies for new patients throughout the year.
Make a difference- visit a veteran!
Volunteer orientation sessions are offered when its convenient for your schedule. Call Lisa 740-223-3452 or email for more details or to register.
Hospice philosophy and service depend upon both professional and volunteer services to fulfill organizational, patient, caregiver and family member needs. Whether it's providing companionship to a patient in their final months and weeks of life, offering support to family members and caregivers, or helping with administrative work in one of the local hospice programs, the contributions of volunteers are essential to the important work we provide at Kindred Hospice.
Hospice care may be right for loved ones living with an end-stage illness, which has six-months life expectancy, should the disease run its normal course.
