The Heritage Library is looking for experienced historians to research and document aspects of the Reconstruction Era on Hilton Head Island (1861 - 1900). This person will primarily be transcribing old deeds from microfilm into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet; therefore, the position will require reading and understanding old deeds. The spreadsheet is already created, so this person will simply transcribe the correct data into the fields.

This position requires experience in in-depth research of historical topics and a love of history. Computer skills required (Microsoft Word and Excel).

Hours can be flexible.
