Bernadette's House, Inc. is seeking to expand it's volunteer staff by bringing on new members to join our growing organization. We are seeking candidate's with a range of skills and expertise to collaborate with the CEO, and the Board of Directors in decisions that will affect the program, and the facility. We are looking for the right person(s) to potentially groom to take over the program in a career capacity.

Program Administrator Duties and Responsibilities:

To accomplish their primary goal of ensuring that the Bernadette's House program is successful and effective.

Manage Program Staff

Program Administrators are responsible for selecting the staff to carry out a program or project. They supervise the staff and monitor their work, as well and coaching and mentoring them in their daily duties. The program administrator oversees all the activities of the teachers and students, and ensures that proper planning and implementation of those activities is completed. They ensure that the students are learning through well-planned and age-appropriate activities that focus on all developmental areas.

Manage Program Budget

They handle all budgetary needs and are responsible for allocation of funds to different programs. They are responsible for purchasing the equipment and materials used by Bernadette's House, as well as paying all bills, including payroll. They interview, hire and train new classroom teachers and aides, as well as hold meetings and tours of the facility with potential new clients. They are responsible for all communication between parents, teachers and the community. In some cases, they may need to write grant reports or find funding to support the program or a particular project.

Evaluate Program Success

The right candidate will develop policies, procedures and programs for the entire program, and ensures that these policies are carried out appropriately. They ensure that Bernadette's House meets all the rules and regulations set up by their specific state or district, and that the licensing is kept up-to-date. They make sure that the program is fully staffed by qualified teachers and also ensure that mandatory teacher-student ratios are kept at all times. They are required to keep detailed records of both students and teachers, and must be certain that annual updates are completed as required.

Description

Bernadette’s House, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) faith-based charitable nonprofit organization that was founded in October 2012. Our volunteer staff is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive home-like environment for preteen and teenage girls who live in and around the Laurel, Maryland area. Careful consideration is made to match each girl in our program with a mentor who is dedicated to developing a nurturing relationship that encourages the mentee to venture on a journey of self-discovery and "dare to dream" of a life full of possibilities. Our program is designed to foster the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills that will enable the girls to make life choices that will have a positive impact on their future.
