Position: Event Planner:
This is an unpaid (but, priceless), remote, volunteer position with flexible hours for an individual or internship position. Applicant must reside in the greater Seattle, WA area. Benefits include:

Event Planner Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
STCC is looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to fill the position of Event Planner for our mobile app which is being developed to connect parents whose children have pediatric cancer. We are looking for someone to play an integral part in our fundraising endeavors. The applicant will work with our team, primarily with our Fundraising Coordinator, to manage, schedule, and coordinate events, provide support by sending mailings and invitations, research event venues and caterers, help to get quotes, help design invitations and event promotional material, organize event paperwork; processing both physical and electronic mailings, book entertainment, décor, favors, etc., and provide assistance at events (if available). Depending on timing, help coordinate our Annual Holiday Gift Giving program at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Qualifications: Candidate must reside in the greater Seattle area. Minimum of two years previous related planning experience in the hospitality industry. Country Club experience is a plus. This person or intern should be comfortable working independently, but also working with a team and a supervisor. Strong verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required (someone proficient in graphic design programs would be a plus).
