Thank you for your intrest in volunteering with the National Stem Cell Foundation to help us raise money for our cause.
Our charity is participating in the 2018 Orange County Marathon, and all funds raised will be going directly to our Patient Assistance Fund, which helps to cover uninsured medical expenses for patients with rare diseases.
Volunteers will be required to complete various tasks at the mile 17 waterstation. Tasks will include handing out water cups to runners, keeping an abundance of filled water cups, and encouraging runners as they pass by. Our teams water station is located at the corner of Sunflower Ave. across from the Macy's Home Store (South Coast Plaza Mall) in Costa Mesa. The NSCF will host a volunteer meeting prior to the race to answer any questions. No experience necissary, volunteers must be 13 years or older.
By volunteering to work at our waterstation, you help the National Stem Cell Foundation get a volunteer reimbursement from the OC Marathon (participation fees for our charity will be largely refunded if we can recruit 20-30 volunteers) and help us to create a lasting partnership with the OC Marathon to continue raising money through events in the years to come.
If you cannot stay for the full duration of the Marathon, that is fine! We need as much help as we can get so every hour you can stay is helpful. If you are volunteering for credit hours, let me know and I will sign any forms you need signed.
If you have any questions or would like additional details, please do not hesitate to email me at: email@example.com
Thank you again for your interest.
