Judges Needed for TAF@Saghalie STEM Expo!!!

ORGANIZATION: TAF (Technology Access Foundation)

The STEM Expo sponsored by Google, is TAF@Saghalie's annual, all-school Spring exhibition, showcasing 8th-12th grade student projects in a wide range of STEM fields. Local STEM experts will judge projects on site for special awards, including qualifying teams to move on to regional and national STEM fairs.

You can help us by volunteering your time and expertise in STEM fields to evaluating student projects. These projects vary widely, but generally fall into one or more of these STEM categories:

  • Life Sciences
  • Behavioral & Social Sciences
  • Physical Sciences
  • Computer Science and IT
  • Engineering
  • Alternative Energy, Transportation, and Environmental Sciences
  • Architecture and Design
  • Community Outreach and Social Engagement

High school EXPO: March 17, 2018 at Green River College 7:45 AM

Middle School Expo: March 20, 2018 at TAF@Saghalie 7:25 AM

Description

TAF is a nonprofit leader redefining Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education in public schools. We focus on supporting public school districts to use STEM as a tool for realizing social change and educational equality in low income communities and underrepresented communities. Our approach leverages in-school and out-of-school learning to shift the role of education in students’ lives, cultivating leadership in all students toward equity in their community.
