Give our patients and families a warm hug with a lap blanket created by YOU!

  • Knit, crochet or sew 36" x 48" lap blankets for our male and female patients
  • Use whatever pattern and colors you desire to brighten our patients' lives
  • Special request for red, white and blue Veteran lap blankets for our Veteran patients. We will provide the yarn for these, if needed!
All volunteer activity is done from the comfort of your own home. When completed, you drop off items at our Cuyahoga Falls hospice office or volunteer coordinator picks it up from your home. You provide your own knitting/crocheting/quilting supplies. Yarn and material can be provided for special requests from patients/families and for Veteran lap blankets.

Description

Gardens Hospice is a locally and privately owned and operated service provider based out of Cuyahoga Falls. We provide care to patients living in private residences, assisted living and nursing home facilities in 6 counties: Cuyahoga, Geauga, Medina, Portage, Stark and Summit Counties.

Our hospice services are designed to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families who are facing life-limiting illness. We help patients and families navigate through the end of life, while bringing peace, comfort and dignity. Our focus is on quality of living, while accepting the reality of death as a part of life.
