We're in need of an experienced grant writer to help us further our vision and supply our programs with the best resources possible. We're looking for someone who has a passion for inner city youth and has a talent to express that in writing in a way that can allow our organization to stand out.
Youth Development Center of America (YDCA) is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization, located in Calumet City, IL, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for youth. We provide programs for youth boys and girls in highly diverse communities. We offer programs directly in response to the growing number of young people that are either falling through the cracks at school or are already entangled with the court system. We strive to teach our youth a sense of professionalism that is needed to become successful model citizens.

Description
YDCA's primary goal is to encourage entrepreneurship, reduce crime, promote health; social, educational, and character development for adolescent boys and girls, by self-esteem building programs, inward values, career skill sets and self development. As a result, children will be able to develop social skills, academic skills and athletic ability, providing them with more opportunities to succeed in promising careers.
