Love My Neighbor Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit. We feed the homeless of downtown Los Angeles every Thursday. LMNF was est. Dec. 2014. We plan on expanding the charity and helping in other areas.
We are looking for someone that has a passion with helping others and that wants to be apart of a team. Someone that is able to at least volunteer with us 2 Thursdays of every month, if not, every Thursday. Volunteering every week isn't mandatory, but want someone to know what we do first hand, so if anyone asks, they will know exactly what to say, because they have experienced it with us. Also, we would want someone there to gather all new volunteers information to store on our spreadsheets.
The intern position is prepping the right person as our Administrative Assistant, who will be pretty much the middle person of the founder and everyone else, but the first contact person for the volunteers.
The person for this position will need to be a people person, have a lot of patience, and be very organized.
A lot of things will be based around your schedule.
We will need someone to answer emails and/or forward to the right person.
Collect volunteers information and send emails to volunteers for different events.
Send out donation receipts and keep track of all donations and expense receipts.
Help make posts on social media.
Make basic flyers for different events.
Schedule meetings and/or meetings for appropriate members.
Help coordinate events.
Volunteer on Thursdays from 12p-2p
Assisting CEO and Operation Manager.
Must have email experience, Excel, Word, and social media. Must speak and write English very well. Spanish is a plus.
