ICWP - a playwrights' organisation, needs a Newsletter Editor to coordinate news contributions from member contributors.
ICWP has around 250 members mainly in USA, Canada, UK and others across the world. About the Newsletter The current Newsletter content is produced monthly by ICWP member volunteer contributors. The content includes: Spotlight - profile of a member playwright New Members- A list of members who joined in the previous 30 days with short biographies. Now Showing: Member Productions in the current month Coming Soon: Member productions in future months. Articles of Interest: A selection of links to articles on the WWW on topics of interest to members. Important Announcements - about ICWP activities The Newsletter is delivered to members in two formats.

  1. An email summary version delivered by email to Members.
  2. A Full version posted on the public-facing section of the ICWP website Newsletter Page. http://womenplaywrights. org/newsletter
The Newsletter Editor's role is to
  1. Co-ordinate the contributions of the other volunteers so that content is delivered in a timely fashion.
  2. Determine the content of the Newsletter in conjunction with the Newsletter Committee
  3. Liaise with the ICWP Board and provide reports for Board meetings.
The Full Newsletter content ( text and Images) is uploaded to the Newsletter Blog on the ICWP website. The content summary is uploaded to a Newsletter Email Template in the ICWP Wild Apricot portal. The editor should be familiar with
  • creating and editing web pages
  • Image editing
  • Email creation and editing
Some training will be given in using the ICWP web page and email systems. The Wild Apricot system also has an excellent Help function for users. We would like the new Newsletter Editor to begin work by May 2018 There will be a period of working with the current editor before the final handover of responsibilities and the handover from the current Editor to the new Editor is expected to be by July 2018 If you are interested in offering your services for this role, please contact the Communications Manager at A more detailed operational description will be supplied to volunteers.
