Omni Nano has released our first massive open online course ("MOOC") and we need your help! We are now seeking science teachers to share their feedback about our course. Retired teachers are encouraged to apply!
"Introduction to Nanotechnology" is a fun and short survey of the cutting-edge world of nanotechnology. We need the help of valued educators like yourself to ensure that all of our content is accurate, grade-appropriate, and high-quality, and to identify any areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Must have basic computer skills, including the knowledge of how to use internet browsers, email, and spreadsheet software
- No prior knowledge of nanotechnology is necessary!

Omni Nano develops and disseminates nanotechnology educational resources for high schools and colleges in order to better prepare students for their professional careers in the globalized, high-tech economy of the 21st century.
Description
Omni Nano is the only 501(c)(3) public benefit organization devoted to nanotechnology education at the secondary school level. Nanotechnology is already impacting the global economy and, within the next few years, annual revenues generated from nanotechnology-enabled products and services are expected to reach the trillions of dollars, affecting millions of jobs. By learning nanotechnology as early as high school, students will be better prepared for their professional careers in the globalized, high-tech economy of the 21st century.
Omni Nano's mission is to educate and inspire today’s youth to become tomorrow’s scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs of nanotechnology for their own prosperity as well as the greater good of our local and global communities. Our high-quality, student-centered curricula and educational resources are designed to introduce high school and undergraduate college students to the practical applications of nanotechnology and to inspire in them a lifelong interest in STEM. By promoting the copious explorative and fun aspects of STEM careers, we are empowering our students to both to enrich themselves and to help save the world with science.
