Lower Bucks Dog Training Club is a nonprofit organization, seeking volunteers who enjoy spending quality time with your own dog and with a group of other dogs and owners. We meet the first Monday of each month(September through June) at our training site, 8746 New Falls Rd, Levittown, PA. We offer training classes throughout the year in 8 week cycles at our training facility. We offer education classes to the public. Some of our members and their dogs go to schools and libraries for Reading to the Dogs Program. Our therapy group takes their dogs to nursing facilities. We are seeking help as assistant trainers, helping at any capacity at our obedience/rally trials and agility trials in the spring, promotional days, education, publicity, marketing, etc. Club membership is required. Mission Statement
Lower Bucks Dog Training Club is a nonprofit operating under the firm belief that it is every dog owners' responsibility to train and socialize his or her dog. Members of LBDTC are responsible dog owners who are concerned about the well being of dogs, enjoys activities involving dogs, and have a strong desire to teach others the merits of training their dog. LBDTC was founded in 1976 by area dog enthusiasts and our goal is to promote good neighborly behavior in dogs by obedience training taught using positive methods. "Praise, Practice, and Patience Equal Performance."
Description
LBDTC activities include training classes open to the public for puppies through advance competition obedience, rally, obedience and agility trials, education programs, therapy dog visits, and social events for humans as well as dogs.
Our organization welcomes new members. LBDTC meetings are held the first Monday of each month (September through June) at 7:30PM at the trainging center, 8746 New Falls Road, Levittown, PA. Applicants must attend 3 meetings before a membership vote is taken.
