Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly's philosophy, programs and activities are focused on alleviating loneliness and isolation among elders in Chicago. The need for social interaction is critical to the human spirit - we believe that nurturing the soul is as important as feeding the body. Join us this Easter Sunday, April 1 st, and make a new friend!
Volunteers on Easter Sunday make a special home visit to an elder, bringing a meal and conversation into their home or nursing home. Commitment is about 3 hours, starting between 9:30 AM and 10 AM. Volunteers start at our offices at 355 N. Ashland Ave to receive the name, address, and meal for an elder. This is something you can do alone, with a friend, or as a family. Multiple meals and visits are available, if interested.
Contact Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly today to make an impact in an elderly person's life! Attendance at an orientation session is required, as well as a background screen. Our next orientation date is March 3rd and we have three other dates in March to choose from. To sign up please visit www.littlebrotherschicago.org/volunteer/sign-up-to-volunteer or call (312) 455-1000 or email email@example.com for more information.
