An internship with Maranathan Academy will provide candidates with the opportunity to cultivate a versatile skillset in special education, business development, communication and non-profit management while providing exposure to key stakeholders in Birmingham’s bourgeoning educational ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Director in discovering and arranging fundraising opportunities with individuals, small groups or through community events
• Teach business lessons and partner with students to develop career plans and acquire jobs
• Optimize and maintain relevant and engaging web and social media presence
• Host table conversations during lunches with students
• Optimize educational offerings by exploring partnerships with leading educational organizations in Birmingham and Alabama
