Tutor training to prepare volunteers to tutor adults. There are three programs. HSE SP is High School Equivalency in Spanish, helping adults get their high school diploma, this is for Spanish speakers only. We need volunteers to tutor in Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading and Writing in Spanish. ESL, English as a Second Language, is helping adults learn to speak and read English. Reading Intervention, this program is to help 4th graders to 8th graders to learn to read better. Please call our office to get a link and password.

Description
Collierville Literacy Council is a 501(c)3 agency that trains volunteers to tutor adult students once a week who need help with High School Equivalency diploma preparation and testing and English as a Second Language.
Our one-on-one educational services are provided free to adults, 18 and older. Tutor training workshops are also provided free to adults who want to volunteer as a tutor.
In 2017, 147 volunteer tutors worked with over 1200 adults to obtain a High School Equivalency diploma or improve their listening and speaking skills of English.
