The Administrative Intern works directly with staff members to ensure the smooth performance of the administrative needs of the organization. This internship is ideal for someone that is interested in nonprofit work, pays close attention to detail and is a creative problem solver. As the Administrative Intern, you will be the support person for the virtual office, assisting in such areas not limited to records keeping, responding to public inquiries, coordinating local and international activities, and interacting with partners as a 1-year commitment. All Interns are provided opportunities for development through staff and may take on special independent projects on a case by case basis. A general estimate of time is 5 hours a week, including supervision and team meetings.
Be advised, this is not your traditional internship at all! The work you do will directly impact the organization and you will be in a unique position to gain hands-on non-profit experience in the process. Successful applicants are comfortable working independently and with a team in a virtual office setting, our team operates from remote locations in the world.
Opportunities for travel may apply. We are a volunteer run e-organization but will do our best to supply adequate assistance for some organization travel, however, it is not guaranteed. Interns are not paid, but can become eligible to participate in the staff perks and recognition system. Interns are also eligible to receive school credit for their work, provided they have the permission of the school.
