Position:
STCC is looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to take on the lead role of Fundraising Coordinator for our mobile app development to connect parents who have children with pediatric cancer. We are looking for someone to help create, organize, and implement the organization's fundraising plan for the development and maintenance of our app.
This position will provide someone with experience in nonprofit development and management, grant writing, events planning, researching donor prospects, and solicitation strategizing. As STCC is a small, nonprofit charity, this person can expect to experience all areas of our work and gain good understanding of all elements of the charity.
Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Foundations:
- Research new foundations to apply for funding
- Research and apply to fundraising contests
- Help in writing grants, proposals and reports
Donors:
- Help with organizing campaigns
- Help in researching potential donors
- Help in conducting in depth research into fundraising markets
- Provide support in sending mailings and invitations
- Help provide donors with information requests
- Help with creating and maintaining database records
Events:
- Research and develop events in fundraising markets
- Research event venues and caterers, and help to get quotes
- Depending on availability, provide assistance at events
- Depending on experience, help design invitations and event promotion

Description
Sweet Tea Cancer Connections (STCC), is building the first ever, nonprofit, healthcare mobile app which will help connect parents affected by Pediatric Cancer. Parents in the pediatric community can find hope, knowledge and empowerment through relationships with families on similar paths. Our app will allow parents to find others whose children have similar diagnoses, who are in the same treatment phase, and who are even in the hospital at the same time. By directly connecting parents who understand each other’s experiences, they will know they are not alone.
