Company Summary:

human-I-T is a collective group of smart humans that turns e-waste into opportunities for others. We fix donated technology and distribute it to those in need. As a socially responsible company leading the charge to close the digital divide, we are seeking IT Technician Volunteer to accelerate and expand our mission.As a IT Technician Volunteer you would be reporting to the Volunteer Coordinator on-site.


  1. Manage daily operations in the IT department
  2. Inspect IT inventory assets and will be responsible to wipe data off the hardware
  3. Help with clean and refurbish computers
  4. Test software performance
  5. Assist with installing software on hardware for internal and external use
  6. Assist with technical hardware installation
  7. Communicate with volunteer coordinator to get tasks done
  8. Confer with coordinator and management regarding any modifications made
  9. Coordinate with IT Manager to find solutions for any IT related queries
  10. Ensure that the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are met and instructions are always followed
  1. A high school diploma/GED or an equivalent preferred
  1. Great communication and interpersonal skills
  2. Ability to learn fast and follow directions well
  3. Demonstrates honesty and integrity
  4. A self-directed worker
  5. Able to work independently and a part of a diverse team
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  7. Pays excellent attention to detail

Indoors, in a warehouse setting; staying on foot and sitting down, lifting, working in varying temperatures
