Company Summary:

human-I-T is a collective group of smart humans that turns e-waste into opportunities for others. We fix donated technology and distribute it to those in need. As a socially responsible company leading the charge to close the digital divide, we are seeking Warehouse Volunteers to accelerate and expand our mission. As a Warehouse Volunteer, you would be reporting to the Volunteer Coordinator on-site.

Duties:

1. Operate process control of equipment and handle manual activities that are required to monitor and control the movement of product
2. Dispose of damaged or defective items and e-waste
3. Communicating with the volunteer coordinator to get tasks done
4. Clean, display cases, shelves and aisles and other parts of the facility in order to have a clean environment and maintain sanitary conditions
5. Help in carrying and moving goods/palettes to the vehicles
6. Ensure that the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are met and sanitation practices are always followed

Specifications:

A high school diploma/GED or an equivalent preferred.

Skills:

1. Ability to stand, bend, twist, lift and carry goods worth 50-75 pounds or more
2. A self-directed worker
3. Able to work independently and a part of a team
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
5. Highly motivated
6. Must be able to work in varying temperatures and climates
7. Pays excellent attention to detail

Context:

Indoors, in a warehouse setting; staying on foot for long hours, bending, twisting, and working in varying temperature and environment
