Art instructor or art therapist needed for long term care community to instruct interested and creative residents in painting/creative arts. Monetary compensation is available for the right instructor. Class size will average around ten residents, all of whom have various levels of acuity and ability. The main purpose of the painting class will be to teach/demonstrate painting techniques to our residents and to foster a sense of creative community at Avantara.
Professional experience in acrylics and class instruction preferred, or art therapy certification However, strong painting technique and a passion for the older population will suffice in lieu of instructor/teaching experience or certification.

Rehabilitation, healthcare services, long term care. We are always looking for volunteers to spend time interacting with our residents. We have plenty of opportunities individuals and their pets, school groups, extracurricular groups, church groups, Veterans, and more!
