We are looking for people that are interested in "Helping Horses". We have 49 horses and other farm animals and we need help on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:30-5:30. No experience necessary. There are many chores to do and we need help! We hope you'll give it a try.

1 Shift

  • 12:30 PM to 05:30 PM
    EVERY Tuesday and Thursday Afternoon

Mission Statement

Our mission and vision is to provide a permanent safe haven for all horses that are asymptomatic carriers of Equine Infectious Anemia within the state of Florida as well as for any horse in immediate need of assistance in Broward County thus preventing their needless destruction.

Description

F.R.I.E.N.D.S., Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization that was estblished in 1987. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. offers various programs to the commuity in an effort to welcome everyone to the world of horses and volunteerism. F.R.I.E.N.D.S.,Inc. rescues EIA (Equine infectious Anemia) positive horses, which would otherwise be destroyed. We are a quarantine facility with 40+ horses. Our facility works with Vets, Major Companies and Colleges hoping to create a cure or vaccine for EIA. All of our funds go to the direct benefit of the horses. Our ranch provides an alternative to euthanasia for the horses and an opportunity for our members to enjoy the companionship of a horse, which is otherwise to expensive for many people. We have numerous functions where the whole family can participate.
