The MOST Amazing race is a foot race of about 5 miles through the streets of Carlisle with mental, physical, and just plain silly challenges along the way. We need volunteers to staff the challenges, where you will assist with giving instructions to the racers and ensure that they complete all parts of the challenge before moving on. In cases where the racers choose to take a penalty instead of complete the challenge, a volunteer will ensure the racers remain at the site for the assigned period of time. There is minimal physical requirement for the volunteers. The race takes place rain, snow, or shine!
The race starts and ends at the Carlisle Expo Center. The racers return to Springfest, a craft and vendor event that offers items for sale, food, entertainment, and activities for children. You are welcome to browse!

Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an Evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Description
The most basic unit of Salvation Army program services delivery is The Salvation Army Corps Community Center. These facilities are our most direct link to the children, teens, adults, and elderly individuals and families within a community.
The Salvation Army Carlisle Corps Community Center is located in the heart of historic Carlisle. Majors John and Alma Riley, the leaders of the corps are called "corps commanding officer." They provide not only administrative leadership but they also are the center's pastors.
In keeping with The Salvation Army's mission to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to promote the alleviation of human suffering, corps programs range from Sunday worship services, Bible Studies, and Vacation Bible School to crisis alleviation case management, feeding programs, and transitional housing programs. Other typical programs include a senior center, character-building recreational programs, leadership and life skills development and much more.
The Salvation Army is looking for people who will step forward to join in the peaceful, joyful fellowship of believers (in Jesus Christ) and the ongoing war against human suffering. If you are interested in attending, whether for church on Sunday or involvement during the week -- whether as a volunteer, curious visitor, participant, or would-be soldier -- simply stop by. You are always warmly welcome.
