Join the City of Vancouver and the Greenway and Sensitive Land Team as we participate in the Million Pollinator Garden Challenge for Earth Day.

"The Million Pollinator Garden Challenge (MPGC) is a nationwide call to action to preserve and create gardens and landscapes that help revive the health of bees, butterflies, birds, bats and other pollinators across America. We will move millions of individuals, kids and families outdoors and make a connection between pollinators and the healthy food people eat."

Learn more about the challenge here: http://millionpollinatorgardens.org/about/

Volunteers will be expanding an existing pollinator garden on the Burnt Bridge Creek Trail. This includes tilling soil, planting flower seeds, and adding a layer of topsoil to the garden. Training, gloves, tools, water, and snacks will be provided. This opportunity is family friendly and volunteers of all ages are welcome to join. Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.

Note:

Youth under 18 must fill out the minor consent form and have it signed by a legal guardian and youth under 14 must also be accompanied by an adult. This form can be found by copying the web address below and pasting it into the URL bar at the top of your screen.
