Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program

Receivers work to process and sort deliveries of produce MCHPP receives from local grocery stores, farms, and restaurants. Volunteers help to organize food to be used in the our Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen. They also help to arrange and categorize nonperishable items.

MCHPP needs volunteers to work with us on Monday and Friday afternoons from 1:30-3:30.

Come with friends, or family members (older than 12).

Mission Statement

The mission of Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program (MCHPP) is to provide hungry people with access to healthy food, work to improve the quality of their lives by partnering with others, and serve them in a manner that recognizes their dignity.


MCHPP has several programs to feed neighbors in need, in a comprehensive way. Volunteers keep all of these important services running, and we are always looking for new volunteers to donate their time and talents!
