Donation Pick Up Drivers
3 people are interested
Volunteers are needed to help us pick up food donations from local supermarkets. Volunteers will drive our vans from MCHPP in Brunswick to the assigned supermarket, pick up the donations, and drive them back to help unload.
Our pick ups take place Monday through Saturday throughout the morning and early afternoon. We pick up from Hannafords in Brunswick, Topsham, and Portland (on Saturdays), as well as Shaws, Target, and Walmart. The shifts are usually between 1 or 2 hours.
Volunteers must have a clean driving record, so they can drive our vehicles. And be able to lift 30lbs without assistance. Volunteers with interest in learning to drive our HINO truck, can be trained to drive that as well.
If potential volunteers have questions about specific requirements, dates, times, or other general questions don't hesitate to reach out.
This is a great opportunity to volunteer with a partner, or friend!
