The Children's Museum of Richmond, a not-for-profit organization, exists to create innovative learning experiences for all children and those who support them that inspire the next generation of creative problem solvers. The Children's Museum of Richmond will foster a community that recognizes and appreciates that children grow and learn through play.

A Brand Ambassador and Seymour Handler would perform a number of tasks including: kindly encouraging children to approach and interact with Seymour, asking if they want to give Seymour a hug or a high-five, ensuring Seymour’s safe interaction with the public, and compensating for the restricted vision and hearing of the performer wearing the costume We ask all volunteers to commit to a minimum of 2 shifts a month for at least 6 months. Typically, each volunteer shift is 2 hours long. All volunteers must complete an orientation, offered once a month, before beginning service.

*The Children's Museum of Richmond does not currently accept volunteers who need court-ordered community service hours.
