We're excited to be hosted by Loretta's Last Call near Kenmore Square and Fenway Park on Wednesday, March 28th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for a special social event, where you can learn more about our One Brick Builds chapter and our upcoming volunteer trips!
Come have a drink, learn about upcoming travel volunteer opportunities with One Brick Builds, and chat with other folks who are interested in giving back to distant communities (or who have attended past One Brick Builds trips!).We have two exciting One Brick Builds trips coming up in the next few months!:
- A trip to Wall Township, NJ from April 5th - 8th to focus on Hurricane Sandy rebuilding
- A trip to New Orleans from April 28th - May 5th to focus on rebuilding efforts from Katrina (and other recent natural disasters).
This social is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about One Brick Builds trips - you don't need to have attended a past trip to attend! For folks whohave attended a past Builds trip (or who are signed up for one of our upcoming trips), we'd love to see you at this event as well, to share your tips, local recommendations, and more! This social will also be a great way for our past trip alums to reconnect.
Folks who are interested in learning more about One Brick Boston (including upcoming local volunteer opportunities) are also welcome to attend this social.WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
This is a 21+ event.ONE BRICK BUILDS:
Our One Brick Builds chapter focuses on providing opportunities for volunteers to help in distant communities, such as places which have been hit by natural disasters.
The goal of this chapter is to provide valuable volunteers to communities in need and to create volunteer opportunities for One Brick volunteers to help those communities.
Each year, our One Brick Builds chapter puts on two volunteer trips to New Orleans (typically one in early May and one in later October). One Brick Builds also recently hosted a volunteer trip to South Carolina and is hosting an upcoming trip to New Jersey (Hurricane Sandy relief). This chapter is also interested in expanding to other potential trip locations, so stay tuned for details on that!
Volunteering with One Brick Builds is a great way to make a HUGE impact on communities in need, travel to some incredible (and fun!) new places, and build amazing friendships!WHERE TO MEET:
