Volunteer to Clean and Green Oakland
24 th annual Earth Day Saturday April 21, 2018
Volunteer on Earth Day, Oakland’s largest annual volunteer cleaning and greening event! In 2017 over 2,600 volunteers pitched in more than 8,500 hours at ninety-two sites across Oakland to clean and green parks, creeks, and streets. Volunteers picked up litter, removed graffiti, weeded, planted and restored native plant habitat.
Groups and individuals of all ages and abilities are invited to join cleaning and greening projects at approximately 100 creek, park, and neighborhood sites throughout Oakland. All tools are provided.
