Women That Give is looking for Volunteer Event Coordinators.
The volunteer event coordinators will help with organizing and managing the fundraiser, leading and delegating tasks in order to facilitate a successful event. The event date is June first week, 2018 with the final date to be determined. This position will be a three-month commitment.
Duties of the available position:
Manage and sell tickets for the fundraiser.
Collaborate with other members of the volunteer committee to ensure tasks andgoals are completed in a timely manner
Work with Event Directors for all event details
Promote event using social media, event listings in GTA, media (printed, radio)
Manage e-ticket sales
Set up and oversee all activities on event day
Connect with businesses for potential sponsorships (companies or individualswho donate money to the event. In return, the sponsor's name is advertised onwebsite, social media )
Help out with (water, snacks, etc.)
Qualifications preferred but not required: Event management, prior event planning and fundraising experience.
Relevant areas: Business, Marketing, Event Management, Public Relations, Information Design, Human Resources, and Recreation Management.
Applicant type: Part-time over the next three months.
