Volunteer Tutors assists students with various homework and educational needs as directed by a supervisor. Volunteer Tutors may be asked to coordinate with parents, teachers, and/or staff to develop an individual education plan for students. All volunteers must agree to report any injuries to the supervisor immediately and instruct the injured party to complete an incident report. Volunteers follow all Safe From Harm policies and procedures without exception.
Qualifications: Likes, relates and is sensitive to adults and children experiencing homelessness. Has compassion, is friendly, understanding, and courteous. Must be relational with both individuals served and staff; a team player. Center of Hope volunteers must be nonjudgmental, always having the Center of Hope resident’s wellbeing in mind.

Requirements: All Center of Hope volunteers must be 18 years or older. Volunteers are required to complete a Safe From Harm volunteer application with background check in its entirety; and strictly adhere to all rules and regulations as directed under the Safe From Harm program for working with minors guidelines.
