Be part of immigrants’ success.
Adult students are building skills in English (ESL) reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
They appreciate community members volunteering to support them individually and/or
in small groups. The classes are taught by licensed teachers.
There are openings M-Th, daytime and evening. The time commitment is once a week, for 1-3 hours,
for 3 months or 30 hours.
Experience is not needed. Training is provided.

Description
Minneapolis Adult Education provides free classes in ESL, reading, writing, math, basic computer skills, and transition to work and college. Classes are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening. We are part of Minneapolis Community Education, Minneapolis Public Schools.
Volunteers participate once an week, for an hour or more depending on the class. We ask for a commitment of 3 months. Service learning has a different minimum.
