PETS holds adoption events to showcase the cats and dogs available for adoption at least once a month at the Jordan Creek Petco in West Des Moines. Events are typically scheduled the first Saturday and Sunday of the month and generally run from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Volunteers are needed to staff the event in 2.5 hour shifts to show the animals and speak with potential adopters.
Volunteers between the ages of 12 - 15 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian that is also a PETS volunteer. Noble Hours are available to high school students enrolled in that volunteer program.
