Our current volunteer opportunities include:
If you love children and would love to rock and play with babies and kids we have the spot for you! Volunteers are needed to assist in the Children’s Area while our participants are in class learning.
Students ages 16 and up may volunteer in child care. Students ages 12-15 may volunteer in child care with an accompanying adult, maximum 2 students per adult. Background check required.
If you love to cook now is the time to break out those skills or pitch in and donate a meal! The food you provide will feed our participants and volunteers on class nights. (Beverages are also appreciated.) This is a great way for small groups to get involved and help our organization! Meals for 35 people need to be delivered to Little Steps at 5:15 pm.
If you love to keep things running smoothly then Hospitality is the place for you! Help set up for dinner, keep the line moving, and then clean it all up at the end. This is a HUGE help to our staff! Background check required.
If you want to work with our participants Class Facilitators teach the provided curriculum, lead discussions, and encourage the teen and young parents in our program. Must be able to commit to an 8-12 week course, one night a week. Training and supervision is provided.
Join our Fund Development Committee and help organize and implement fund raising events to benefit Little Steps. Our committee meets on the second Monday of each month at 5:30 pm at Little Steps. Fresh ideas and enthusiastic volunteers are always welcome.
Be an advocate in the community for Little Steps. Help secure financial resources and ensure effective planning to keep Little Steps up and running. The Board of Directors meet on the third Monday of each month at Little Steps.
When you’ve got a few hours to spare here and there we need help with:
