The Fremont Free Food Fair is an event held in partnership with UMMA, The Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust and Food Forward’s Wholesale Recovery program at the Fremont Wellness Center and Community Garden. Volunteers are assigned various roles on site such as setting up market display, unloading, sorting, organizing and cleaning produce, checking-in and assisting with loading for organizations that maintain their own distribution, participating in composting efforts, cleaning market equipment, documenting weight of produce, crowd control, etc.
Every 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month
This volunteer opportunity is open to adults (18+ years) and minors accompanied by a guardian. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in promoting good health and nutrition and a general concern for food justice issues.

- Volunteers are needed for the following 2 shifts: 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- Volunteers must stand for long periods of time and be able to carry boxes up to 40 lbs.
