Do you enjoy dressing up? Cos playing? Clowning around? Do you enjoy spending time with children? Then this is the perfect gig for you! The Albany Public Library is looking for volunteers who want to dress up as our Bleeker mascot at various events. Bleeker accompanies staff members to places like Summer Fest, Back to School days, and various parades. He's a rockstar to our local kids. Come give back to your community while having a blast!
We have an event coming up mid March that we'd love help with, and there will be plenty of other opportunities too!

Description
The Albany Public Library consists of 7 branches in the City School District; Washington, North Albany, Bach, Arbor Hill, Pine Hills, Howe, and Delaware. You can visit the 7 branches for books and DVDs, music and magazines, classes and workshops, computers and Wi-Fi, tutoring and tax assistance, arts activities and technology programs, study spaces and meeting rooms, movie showings and musical performances, book clubs and author talks, and so much more. Volunteering is vital to the health of the library and the community by providing much needed support to the youth and adults who rely on library services. Volunteers gain the skills and knowledge to help with their professional career and personal life. Student volunteers gain community service credit and valuable job experience.
