Inspire our visitors and help create a movement of conservation action among our guests!

Looking to be part of a New New York Aquarium?
The New York Aquarium is changing this summer, opening its newest exhibit, Ocean Wonders: Sharks. Volunteers are greatly needed to guide & assist visitors, facilitate fun activities, lead narrated talks, and assist in operating our shark touch tank.
Adults can sign up for one of three roles this summer, with opportunities to gain additional skills to fulfill additional roles in their year long commitment to the aquarium. Training for roles varies.
Volunteer roles for Summer 2018 include Ambassadors, WCS Now Interpreters 1 & 2.
Volunteers must apply, if accepted attend an interview, and training before being accepted into the program.

Description

The New York Aquarium is a 14 acre living museum that presents to our visitors living treasures that once lost can never be recreated. The aquarium provides an enjoyable and educationa experience for the whole family to enjoy. Pacific walruses, sandtiger sharks, sea otters, and 10,000 other species call this place home.
