Location: San Diego, CA or Colorado Springs, CO
Hours: 10 hours per week

Commitment: 6-12 month commitment


About


The Grants of Hope Coordinator will work in accordance with Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence (BTSADV) Grants of Hope Program and clients.


DESCRIPTION:

  1. The Grants of Hope Program works to award victims and survivors of domestic violence with financial assistance to help overcome economic challenges as a direct result from financial abuse.
  2. All client interaction must be logged into client tracker
  3. All advocates must sign confidentiality agreement


Responsibilities


  • Act as the first point of contact for screening and screen clients for eligibility of the Grant of Hope Program.
  • Addresses questions and concerns for clients and provides resources for victims of domestic violence.
  • Provides advocacy, emotional support, information, resources, referrals, etc. to clients.


Preferred Skills


  • Prior understanding and experience with the legal system, law, financial services, and/or business background.
  • Prior experience and training working with victims of domestic violence.
  • Familiarity with locating resources
  • Comfortable speaking to clients and maintaining professionalism
  • Degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Finance, or Business preferred but not required.
